Driving Tests

Before you can take your practical test you must take and pass your theory test.

The theory test is in two parts. The first part consists of multiple choice theory questions and the second part is the Hazard Perception test - designed to test your speed at reacting to dangers on the road. Your theory test is valid for 2 years once you passed it. The practical test must be completed within this time otherwise you will need to pass your theory again.

The Practical Test consists of 'Show Me/Tell Me' as well as the practical assessment.

Driving lessons will be based around the known Driving Test routes within the York area. Show Me/Tell Me will also be covered through the lessons.
